About JPSC:
The state of Jharkhand came into existence after bifurcating 18 districts from the State of Bihar in the year 2000. The Governor of Jharkhand formed the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) under the provisions of Article 315 of the Constitution of India. The primary objective of JPSC is to conduct examinations for recruiting candidates for various posts in the Jharkhand State administration.
Composition:
The Chairman heads JPSC, with Shri Amitabh Choudhary (Former IPS Officer) serving as the current Chairman (2021). The team also includes four members, one Secretary, two Deputy Secretaries, one Controller of Examination, and one Deputy Controller of Examination.
